Our Mission

Our Mission: To carry out its vision, the Mount Washington Homeowners Alliance will work to:

• preserve, protect and enhance the uniqueness and diversity of this urban oasis neighborhood within the greater Los Angeles metropolis.
• maintain the existing single-family character of the neighborhood.
• balance the land use priorities of the community with the interests of real estate development.
• organize and support the homeowners and other residents of Mount Washington.
• provide a forum for open community input and discussion.
• communicate with and educate the Mount Washington community concerning matters of public interest.
• coordinate with our educational, cultural, and religious institutions to support their programs that are beneficial to the community.
• encourage and support the economic vitality and stability of our neighboring communities.
• maintain a close working relationship with our public officials and institutions.
• uphold the public trust of our community above personal self-interest of our board and committee members.
