Our Core Values
A very broad summary of our values as an organization are:
- Earning and deserving the trust of the community’s homeowners and residents
- Encouraging broader participation of community residents in civic affairs
- Camaraderie, respect, and plain fun in carrying out our activities

Vision Statement
Mount Washington: A great place to live!
Mission Statement
To carry out its Vision, the Mount Washington Homeowners Alliance will work to:
- preserve, protect and enhance the uniqueness and diversity of this urban oasis neighborhood within the greater Los Angeles metropolis.
- maintain the existing single-family character of the neighborhood.
- balance the land use priorities of the community with the interests of real estate development.
- organize and support the homeowners and other residents of Mount Washington.
- provide a forum for open community input and discussion.
- communicate with and educate the Mount Washington community concerning matters of public interest.
- coordinate with our educational, cultural, and religious institutions to support their programs that are beneficial to the community.
- encourage and support the economic vitality and stability of our neighboring communities.
- maintain a close working relationship with our public officials and institutions.
- uphold the public trust of our community above personal self-interest of our board and committee members.
